SGPA Calculation Example

Here is a detailed step-by-step example of how to calculate VTU SGPA:

Step 1: Enter the Grade Points and Credits for Each Subject

Subject Grade Points Credits
Subject 1 8 4
Subject 2 7 3
Subject 3 9 3
Subject 4 6 4
Subject 5 5 2

Step 2: Calculate the Weighted Grade Points for Each Subject

Subject Grade Points × Credits
Subject 1 8 × 4 = 32
Subject 2 7 × 3 = 21
Subject 3 9 × 3 = 27
Subject 4 6 × 4 = 24
Subject 5 5 × 2 = 10

Step 3: Sum of Credit × Grade Points

Total Grade Points = 32 + 21 + 27 + 24 + 10 = 114

Step 4: Sum the Credits

Total Credits = 4 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 16

Step 5: Calculate SGPA

Total GPA = 114/16
          = 7.13 SGPA
