I grew up in a small village with humble surroundings, attending the only government school in our village, where resources were quite limited for us. However, my ambitions were always high. Through years of determination and hard work, facing multiple challenges and taking every opportunity, no matter how small, that came my way.
Finally, as of today, I am proud to announce that I have secured a full-time position as an Associate Functional Consultant at ADP, earning a package of ₹6 LPA. My journey was not easy, but it feels great to know that I am in a good place in my life now!
My Early Days: Small Town, Big Curiosity
From an early age, I was always curious about technology, opening toys and tinkering with electronic items. Each small understanding sparked a desire to learn more. I completed my 10th and 12th standards at the same government school in my hometown, and when I got the chance, I made an immediate decision to move near Tirupati to pursue a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
The transition was new, but I was ready for the challenge. My time in college pushed me to adapt and grow, spending countless hours into coding, exploring platforms like HackerRank, and delving into embedded systems and electronics.
Joining NxtWave Was My Best Investment!
While in college, I explored several platforms to learn coding, as my core course was ECE so we were not as much elaborated on coding and Core CSE subjects in our classes. While scrolling through videos for my doubts on YouTube, I stumbled upon some short videos of Nxtwave. The video was good enough to clear my doubt, so I just saved the playlist.
At that time, it didn’t mean anything. A few weeks later during one of my coding sessions on HackerRank, I came across a speech by Rahul Sir, NxtWave’s CEO, that’s when I was actually motivated to take a chance and after a week of thinking and scanning through videos and opinions, I I joined NxtWave’s Full Stack Java program during my third year.
What I Learned at NxtWave
Everyone has a different perspective, observations and learning style, and Nxtwave cracked it here. Every teacher had their own technique, and to my surprise, they would recall basics after finishing every topic to ensure no one was left behind. As time passed, I developed my coding skills and the program was well-crafted with structured classes. Moreover, enough time was spent on doubts and AMAs, providing a personalised and effective learning experience.
The course is good, but consistency is essential. They guide everyone equally, which creates a competitive environment, so you have to work hard. We were given Real-world projects and even had guest lectures from industry experts. They even helped us with interview questions, helping us build a logical approach and positive tone for answers. Thanks to this, I graduated with 97% in B.Tech and landed an internship with a stipend of ₹13,000/month. Later on, I was offered a full-time position after my internship.
One thing that I am more grateful for than others is that at Nxtwave, it became clear to me that people want to get jobs without spending time on learning and at some point you have to do your share of work to have a good life.
The Leap to ADP
After my internship, I was offered a full-time position. However, I decided to decline it because I was confident that I could secure a better offer based on what I had learned during the internship and aimed for more. This decision paid off, and within a month, I successfully landed a full-time role at ADP as an Associate Functional Consultant, with a salary of 6 LPA, which was approximately 2.5 lakhs more than my initial offer. This milestone validated my efforts, my learning, and my belief in myself.
Beyond Tech: Sports, Arts & Balance
My growth wasn’t just academic. I’m a:
- National-level badminton player and coach (even coached adults at 14)
- State-level drawing winner, featured in 80+ newspapers
- Hackathon champion, winning 1st prize across 60+ JNTU colleges
- Top performer in college, both in sports and academics
My Family, My Backbone
I grew up in a small town, surrounded by my loving family. My father worked long hours in a small shop, always greeting customers with a warm smile, while my mother is a homemaker. My brother took care of most responsibilities. He recently switched after spending years in IT, and decided to follow his passion and start a travel business, so we were always a bit low on funds. Despite the financial struggles we faced, my parents never held me back from anything. Their unwavering support for my dreams is the reason I was able to do anything with my life. For my B.Tech, they borrowed money to help me, never letting me know about the burden of finances, instead, always encouraging me to try harder.
Because of their love and faith in me, I was able to push through late nights and challenging days. I often thought of the sacrifices my family made to give me this opportunity, and I wanted to succeed. By securing a job, I hoped to make them proud by giving back all the encouragement they’ve given me.
Final Thoughts: You Can Do It Too
What do I want to say to anyone? I mean, look at me: from a small government school classroom to a 6 LPA job at ADP. I didn’t have many facilities until I went to college. The path wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. When I joined NxtWave’s Full Stack Java program, I was also afraid. What if I am not consistent? What if this doesn’t pay off? Can I really do it every day? Negative thoughts will always come; there will be bad days and weeks, but one thing is certain: spending time on learning never goes to waste.
I was from a small town and already at the bottom, so you can only get up from there. That is something you must understand while taking any major step in your life. It doesn’t matter if you’re from a small town, have a weak background, or have fewer facilities; those things don’t determine your future. Your effort, mindset, and consistency are what speak.
