I’m Sidhant Hembrom, a 2019 graduate in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar. Today, I work as a Front-End Developer Intern at Arizon Digital.
This is my first job in the tech industry, and it wasn’t an easy journey. I transitioned from software testing, tried my hand at civil services, and eventually found my way back to IT. Here’s how NxtWave played a significant role in my career switch.
After graduation, I joined Cognizant as a Software Tester through an off-campus placement. But COVID-19 disrupted everything. I had to leave my job to be with my family when my mother was affected by the virus.
I then switched my focus to civil services, spending three years preparing for state exams. I cleared the prelims, but as time passed, the situation seemed uncertain due to the lockdown. I then realised IT was my true passion.
In June 2024, I decided to re-enter the tech world. I joined their Full Stack Development course to upskill. With a background in C and a keen interest in coding, I was looking for a platform to fill the gaps in my knowledge.

My family has been my biggest support system throughout. My father, who worked at a bank, retired around the time I graduated from college. My mother is a homemaker, and my elder sister is a practising lawyer.

After completing the NxtWave course, I applied for several roles and finally landed an internship at Arizon Digital as a Front-End Developer Intern.
This was the perfect start to my IT career, and I am eager to continue growing in this field.
The challenges and setbacks were tough, but they taught me resilience. With NxtWave’s support and consistent effort, I was able to transition from EEE to a career in IT, and now I am on the path I always dreamed of.
